Open Heart is a series begun around the one year anniversary of my open heart surgery. They  grew out of selfies taken at the hospital during he first  four days in the hospital. Everything felt ecstatic to and I was grateful to be alive. Bernini's   "Ecstasy  of St. Teresa" was a constant friend.
